Marv Borst
Painting Title: Jesus Loves You
Location: Apartment Building on the Main Street

What drew you to this location?
I was drawn to this location by the side of the brick building and the way the morning sun was illuminating the windows and interior. As I was considering painting one of the lower windows, I saw the sign in the window saying “Jesus loves you.” I thought that would make a compelling image.

What was one notable thing from the day?
The day was notable for me because once again I was able to be with my daughter for the event. This was our third time entering together, and it was wonderful as always.

Describe your approach to plein air in 2 sentences.
My approach to plain air is a constantly evolving journey. I am a portrait artist in practice and comfort zone, and plain air forces me out of my comfort zone.
