A national juried exhibition of artwork 12 inches or less

The eighth annual national juried exhibition of small works (12 inches or smaller in any direction*) is open to artists working in all media. This exhibition is open to all U.S. residents. A total of $2,000 in cash awards, best in show receives $1,000! *Framing may extend to 16 inches.

Submission Details

Images
All entries must be submitted electronically via online Submittable platform. Follow all instructions listed on mainstreetarts.submittable.com. Judging will be done entirely from JPEGs. No other formats will be accepted. JPEGs must be 72 dpi, at least 1200 pixels in one direction. Submit 1–3 pieces for the $30 entry fee or up to 6 pieces for $35

Insurance
Artwork will be insured against loss, damage, or theft while on gallery premises. Artists should insure work during shipping to and from the gallery.

Shipping
Artists will pay shipping to and from gallery, pay close attention to shipping dates after notification of acceptance. Buyer will pay for shipping if work is purchased.

Sales
All sales will be handled by gallery staff at Main Street Arts. The gallery retains 40% commission on all sales, please price your work accordingly. Online sales will be an option for artists who are selected for the exhibition. Sales made in Main Street Arts online store will be under the same terms as in-gallery sales.

Selected work
All entries must be of original design and personal execution. No reproductions. 2 Dimensional artwork must be ready to hang. Acceptable display of 3D work may be floor based, pedestal based, or wall mounted. The artwork itself must be 12 inches or smaller in any direction, framing may be larger if necessary with a maximum dimension on all framing of 16 inches. Artwork which differs greatly from submission images will not be accepted

About the Juror(s):

Rick Muto has built his career as a muralist, decorative painter and fine artist located in Rochester, New York. In 2012, Rick, his wife and his daughter opened AXOM Gallery & Exhibition Space, offering a venue for regional artists to exhibit. More Recently, their venue has become known as AXOM HOME, which combines the gallery and a lifestyle boutique, a carefully curated resource for artful living.
