Art Resource Library

Art Resource Library

The Robert and Franice Marx Art Resource Library is a collection of 2,000 books (and growing) with a focus on artists, art movements, craft, design, architecture, art instruction, the philosophy of art, and more. Books in the collection range from historical to contemporary and collectively illuminate the impact of the arts on culture, society, and the human experience.

The library is named for Robert and Francie Marx, close friends of Main Street Arts and also among the first to donate books to the library. Robert Marx was a prolific figurative artist with a career spanning 7 decades and Main Street Arts continues to represent Robert’s work.
