“Our collaborative utilitarian ceramics combine the sense of design and aesthetics in each of our individual sculptural studio practices. The amorphous blobs, in both the form and surface, explore the idea of the individual as being perpetually unresolved and in a fluid state of growth and change, existing within loose interpretations of landscapes.”
Nate Ditzler and Laura Konecne are from O´ahu, Hawai´i. Currently, Nate is a Professor of Ceramics and Sculpture at Clarke University in Iowa and Laura works with a non-profit to provide arts education in North Texas public schools. Both have work in multiple public collections, including past collaborations.
