Jenn Cole

Jenn Cole (Cookeville, TN)

“I create retro-inspired pottery, designed to beautify everyday rituals. I throw forms from earthenware clay and apply white slip to create a blank canvas for my vintage motifs. Through the repetition of delicately drawn floral patterns and systematic mark-making coupled with painterly underglaze application, this process enables me to move fluidly through quilting, pattern design, and traditional ceramic techniques.”
Jenn Cole is a ceramic artist and curator who lives in middle Tennessee and works as a full time potter. She received her BFA in Ceramics from Ohio University. She exhibits her work across the country and worked as gallery manager at The Appalachian Center for Craft and as Curator of Exhibitions for The Red Lodge Clay Center. Her pottery is on display at ClayAKAR in Iowa, the Red Lodge Clay Center, Schaller Gallery in Michigan, and John C. Campbell Folk School.
