“I love clay because it brings me closer to the earth and others through communion and ritual. I want to weave magic dirt into the everyday moments. Exploring textures and forms, I hope to imbue the functional pot with feelings of groundedness and connection.”

Sierra Estes is a potter in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she loves exploring the high desert landscape. She graduated with a BA in Ceramics in 2015 and developed her studio practice in Houston, Texas where she made wheel-thrown dinnerware for restaurants. After moving to New Mexico she is enjoying slower processes like pinching and coil building.
