View our exhibition calendar which highlights local and regional artists in solo shows and group invitationals, in addition to annual national juried exhibitions and check out an archive of our exhibition history since we opened in 2013.
Our residency program offers artists time and space to focus on their work. View information about the program, check out current and past residents, FAQs, testimonials, and apply to become an artist in residence.
In addition to visual arts, Main Street Arts also focuses on literary arts and literacy through our bookstore, Sulfur Books. You’ll find new and used books for all ages—adults, young adults, middle readers, and children.
In addition to invitational exhibitions, Main Street Arts offers national and regional juried exhibition opportunities each year. Juried exhibitions include a thematic or media-specific exhibition in the spring, as well as our annual Small Works and The Cup, The Mug exhibitions in the fall.
Main Street Arts is a nonprofit arts organization and art gallery specializing in showcasing contemporary art and fine craft from emerging and established Upstate New York artists. Located in the historic, picturesque village of Clifton Springs, NY, the 3,600-square-foot space has two floors offering exhibitions, an artist residency program, workshops, literary arts programming, and youth programs.
Youth programs at Main Street Arts include our quarterly Art Saturdays series, our After School Art Experience program, and our annual Student Painting Exhibition. Plans are in the works for a toddler art-making series, youth summer camps in literary and visual arts, and more!
A large part of our mission at Main Street Arts is increasing community outreach and relationship building as related to the arts through offering artistic workshops. We are proud to offer workshops and events in visual and literary arts to kids in our community who may otherwise not have access to these types of programs.
