
Maria Galens lives near Penn Yan, NY with her husband, two children, cats and chickens! She received a B.F.A in Painting from Pratt Institute in 2008 and went to receive a M.S.Ed in Art Education K-12 from Nazareth College in 2011. Maria is a mixed media artist and loves to paint, make dolls and knit and crochet. Maria believes there are no wrong answers when making art and encourages student artists to take risks and experiment - she loves the energy that children bring to the art-making table!
Michele Vair is a visual artist who lives in Newark, NY with her husband and two cats. She received her B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the Ringling College of Art and Design in 1986. Michele enjoys photography and working with a variety of artistic media. You may see her out and about with her camera, capturing spontaneous vignettes of people, landscapes and anything else that catches her eye! She also likes to spend time listening to music or reading a good book. As a teaching artist, Michele encourages young artists to freely express themselves and enjoy new creative learning experiences through art-making.
Faith Most is a longtime resident of Clifton Springs, and recently retired from a 40 year career working with, and advocating for, people with developmental disabilities. She now designs and sells original jewelry, working with polymer clay and gemstones. She is excited to share the beauty and versatility of polymer clay with the Main Street Arts community. The possibilities are endless!
Nony Schoonerman grew up in Clifton Springs, graduated from Midlakes, and lives in Clifton Springs because she loves the village so much. She has many years of experience as an Elementary and Special Education teacher and has a Masters degree in Education. She has taught children all her life—that is her love, and her joy. She is also a mother of 4 children (with a grandchild on the way!).
